Chapter 197 – “When I Was Your Man” – 27th May 2015.

Remorse, heartbreak, and bitter-sweet memories of regret are centre stage today, as my stepsister, Marguerite, and her ex try to deal with the long-term consequences of their breakup. Can either party TRULY move on with their lives though ? But then, is it too late anyway, now that my sis is officially courting another man ? Does Bruce still have a chance regardless though ? And if so, will he actually go for it ? … I guess we’ll find out soon enough …

I just realised that I hadn't uploaded the final piccy from our Lake District Vacation ... Whoops !!

Ahem ... Anyway, here we are having a lovely family picnic in the pretty garden of the holiday cottage.  This was the picnic which we had wanted to have on Ruby's second birthday, but couldn't due to the very high winds on that day.  At least we managed to fit it in eventually though, hey.

As you can see, the setting was PERFECT, the sun was shining (at last).  It was a lovely day for us all, and the best end to our stay here too.

We really had wonderful time on this spring family holiday of ours, in a way we were sorta sorry to have to come home again ... But you never know, we may get to go again next year, because I've heard a rumour on the dolly grapevine that our human master is already trying to book up for 2016 ... Yay !!

So I guess that brings you all up to date on my vacation adventures ... Hopefully the NEXT chapter of my daft dolly tales wont be too far away either.  I'll keep you posted ;).

I hope you're all enjoying the spring as well ?  Because SUMMER is just around the corner ... Ooooph, that's melty-melty time for us little plastic beings, I tell ya.  But anyway ... Have a good-one, wont you :).

<3 My Two Beautiful Girls Enjoying a Peter Rabbit Story Book <3.

Another snapshot from our holiday, and seeing as Beatrix Potter is such a BIG deal in the Lake District, naturally the Peter Rabbit tales were an equally prominant part of our recent spring vacation ... Most especially for my animal loving daughters.

It was so adorable to witness Emma reading to her baby sis one evening before bed though, and it was Ruby's absolute favourite story book too, 'The Tale Of Peter Rabbit'. 

Awwwww what a pair of cutie-pies they are, hey. 

I couldn't help but recall the first time I read that story book to Ruby, on our lakes holiday two years ago.  She still likes pointing out the the word 'Rabbit' or as Ruby pronounces it 'Wabbit', to this very day ... Bless !!  And she always asks for radishes too come to think of it, hehehe .... Mmmmm, happy sigh.  What a lovely family vacation we had <3.

Enjoying The Springtime Flowers.

Ruby's 2nd Birthday - 10th May 2015.

In case you didn't know, a week ago today was my littlest Munchkin's 2nd birthday ! ... Awwww.  Can you believe I've been a mother for TWO whole years already ?! ... Me neither.  But back to the point ...

Seeing as we were on holiday, and away from home at the time, Rocky and I had to plan ahead for this one.  But we made sure Ruby still had a VERY special day all the same, including a few Peter Rabbit presents and a little birthday party as well.

We originally intended to have a nice little family picnic party in the garden of the holiday cottage, however on the day sadly there were rather high winds.  40 miles per hour might not sound like much, but when you consider that us little plastic beings are 1/6th the size of you humans, it was sadly far too blustery for us to venture outside :(.

But my ever imaginative husband came to the rescue and made the best of things none the less, deciding to occupy both the birthday girl, and Emma as well, with a little fort building project ! ... Oooh-errrr, hey.  Daddy saves the day.  Phew !!

Rocky managed to make use of some logs in the fire basket, and I knitted a little flag to help finish off the look as well (Thanks for the knitting lessons there, Rai.  I knew they'd come in handy one day ;) ).  We then added a drawbridge, and a few decorations later ... Tah-dahhh !!

Ok, so it might not be perfect.  However as you can see, the finished thing looks rather fun indeed, and if you use your imagination then it could become the setting for a whole world full of adventures and games, as my husband was all TOO keen to show ... I'm not sure who's the bigger kid sometimes ?  But never mind.  Of course, the girls thought it was PERFECT, and they loved getting to play in their very own fort too.  In fact, Ruby insisted that we had to have our dinner in there later that evening as well ... I think the cheeky monkey would've slept in there if we'd let her too.  Deary me.

I was thrilled that she'd had such a wonderful day though, despite the weather spoiling our initial plans.  However in the end I think this was MUCH better anyway :) .

So I'll just finish off now by wishing a belated Happy 2nd Birthday to my littlest Munckin, Ruby ... Awww, she's almost a big girl now, sniffle.  Happy sigh .... Anyway ....

The Rocky Family's Spring Vacation In The Lake District 2015.

 

Sorry I've been so quiet this last week, I haven't been ignoring you all, I promise.  We've been on a lovely family vacation in the Lake District though, and here's one of our holiday snaps too :).

We all had a wonderful time, and Ruby in particular LOVED the fact that we were returning to Peter Rabbit country again.  You know how much my little-one LOVES her bunnies ;).  She even insisted that I should wear my Peter Rabbit dress for the entire trip too, but I I must admit it works with the beautiful scenic springtime setting though. 

We were MOST impressed to find this doll sized slate bridge in the holiday cottage garden, I must say.  Such a shame we couldn't bring it home with us, but nevermind.

I do have a few more piccys of our trip to show you all, which I'll be uploading in the coming days.  But in the meantime I suppose I had better start tackling the unpacking ... What fun, hey.  Hmmmmm.

Anyway, I'll try to catch up and reply to all your messsges as soon as we've settled back in, but I guess I'll just say toodle-oo for now.

Chapter 196 – “Nothing Serious” – 6th May 2015.

My attempt to have a laid-back carefree, no drama day, doesn’t QUITE go to plan, when a couple of my sisters pop around to visit me. What starts out as a little light-hearted girly fun, soon enough turns into something of greater concern though. Including a shocking revelation which could have MAJOR implications for one family member in particular ! Ooooh-errrr, hey … It’s nothing serious though, is it ? …. Ummmmmm ?? … I guess you’ll have to read on to find out …

Happy Star Wars Day - May The 4th Be With You !!

 If you hadn't already guessed, it's Star Wars day today.  And as our good friend Ollie's such a HUGE fan of the film saga (And we already had plans together for a Star Wars movie marathon later anyway), Biker-boy had somehow convinced my daft husband that it would be a good idea for us to dress up for the occasion too ! ... Oooh-ecckkk !!  Ummmmm, o--kay !!

As much as Rai and I groaned about the suggestion to begin with, we decided to play along and support our fella's interest all the same.  With the ONE condition that neither of us wanted to wear the Leia gold bikini this time !! ... I think the lad's were a tad disappointed there, but in the end they realised it was still a victory that we had agreed so easily in the first place.

So, with the help for a few of the Star Wars display dolls, the four of us got to work dressing up as our favourite characters from the film series ..... Ollie couldn't wait to don the Jedi garb once again, supposedly this time he's Anakin Skywalker from Episode 2.  Seeing as Rai know's that her fella's always had a THING for Leia though, she decided to dress up as the princess leading lady herself, in the gown from the end of Episode 4.  Rocky's fave has always been Han Solo of course, however seeing as there's no Han doll to borrow an outfit from in Hollys collection, we had to get a little more creative and assemble his get-up from bits and bobs we thought looked sorta right and in the spirit of the character.  Dont they all look FAB though ?!

As for me, I opted for Padme.  Her wardrobe throughout the first 3 films is amazing, and you all know what a passion I have for clothes too.  So the signature Queen Amidala look from Episode 1 seemed to fit the bill in this instance.  I bet you hardly recognised me with the headress and everything as well though, but it IS me none the less ;).

Anyway ... Once we were all ready, it was decided that we should have a little photoshoot to mark the occasion.  And thanks to our talented photographer-pal, Elise, these stunning piccys were the result too ! ... Pretty cool, huh ?!

Oh well though, I suppose I had better get going now, because Gwen and Marshall will be popping by to join us after lunch, and the guys are hoping to start our movie marathon of the entire Star Wars saga on time too.  So that we can fit all the movies in before midnight ... Hmmmm, 6 films all in a row, lucky us, hey.  But even though am not the biggest Star Wars fan in the world, I must admit that all this cosplay stuff is rather fun none the less.
