** A Brisk January Adventure On The North Wales Coast - Brrrrrrrr ! **

Sorry that I've been so quiet this last week.  But as you may be able to tell from this piccy, a few of us dolls have been away on a nice little winter getaway in Northern Wales ... Woohoooo !!

Seeing as my gal-pal Gwendolyn is actually Welsh herself, Rocky and I invited her and her fella Marshall to join us for this fun little holiday too ... As you can see though, it was a tad cramped to fit the 6 of us in the car (Yes Ruby and Emma are safely seated in the back there as well in case you're wondering), however we did just about manage, and had some lovely days out adventuring all over Snowdonia together.

Mind you, it was very useful having a native to the area as our guide and translator.  Even Ruby and Emma started picking up a few Welsh words throughout our stay as a result.  I was amazed and impressed by the ease of which Gwen could say the name of the Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch place though, I still cant get my little plastic tongue around any of it ... "Lanfair ... Lanfair-pwell.  Or is it pool ? ... Ummmm" ... Nope, I ain't got a clue !

But back to this particular piccy again ...

It was flipping CHILLY at this pretty little bay in Llandudno, I tell you (but luckily an easier name to pronounce as it happens ;) ).  But none the less it was fab getting to watch the waves rolling onto shore ... We don't get to see the sea where we live at home you see.  Thankfully this day was a lovely sunny one though, so we were all rather warm whilst wrapped up in our winter woollies exploring the rocky coastline around us.

As for the rest of our vacation ... Unfortunately we had a fair amount of rain during the week, so I wasn't really able to get any more piccys to show you our other exploits.  But we still didn't let the weather dampen our spirits ... Even when we nearly got stuck in the snow during a sudden unexpected blizzard which we encountered on one mountain pass.  Thankfully we managed to back track and find away around in the end though ... Phew !!

We arrived home again yesterday, and although its a tad strange to be back, there's truly no place like home is there. But I suppose I had better finish the unpacking soon, as it's now back to reality for us ... Sigh !!

So I'll sign off now with what my Welsh friend, Gwen, said just before we departed her former home "Welwn ni chi y flwyddyn nesaf Cymru . Cawsom amser hyfryd !".  Which means "See you next year Wales.  We had a lovely time !". :)

** HAPPY NEW YEAR - 2016 **

♪♪♪ "Should old acquaintance be forgot,

and never brought to mind ?

we'll take a cup of kindness yet,

for auld lang syne" ♪♪♪.

It's just a little past midnight here in the UK, which signals the start of a brand new year for us Brits … It's 2016 !!  Woohooo, can you believe it ?!

There's something ever so magical about new year, isn't there ?!  It's like a whole new beginning, where we can wipe the slate clean and start afresh ! … And this year it seems a few of our friends decided that a party was the best way to welcome the dawn of this brand new year too … Well I was hardly gonna decline an offer like that, was I ?!  Most especially when it meant I got to wear my fabulous new 20's inspired flapper dress from the 'Rai-of-Sunshine' Boutique, which my adorable husband gave me for Christmas.  Isn't it divine ?!

Anyway … We've had a wonderful evening so far, and I'm sure we'll be celebrating with our dolly pals into the wee hours an'all.  But just around midnight, in the midst of all that jolly fervour, Rocky and I still managed to sneak off to find a quiet corner and raise a glass to toast the new year, just the two of us … Awwww <3.

It was the PERFECT start to 2016 !

I cant wait to discover what the next 12 month has in store for myself, my friends, and family ?  I'm sure we'll all have many adventures, make plenty of mistakes, and potentially even choose some of our friends poorly as well in the year to come … But if that be the case, it'll make for some great stories either way.  Whatever lay ahead though, whether it be good or bad, I will continue to share my ongoing tales with you, my lovely fans and followers !

Thank you so much for taking the time to keep up with my daft dolly blog this past year ... Cheers guys and girls, I really appreciate your support :).

However, as much as I'd love to chat further with you all now, I should probably return to my husband and dolly pals, so that we can finish our celebrations in style.  But from all of us dolls here in Holly's household, I'd like to wish each and every one of you a VERY happy and prosperous New Year, and I'll simply finish off by quoting part of my handsome husband's toast …

"Here's to us & 2016 … Let's make it a good-un, hey !" ;).

** 2015 - My Year In Review **

To mark the end of another milestone year in my little plastic life, here's a little slideshow movie charting MY journey through 2015 !!  I hope you've enjoyed the ride as much as I have ? … Wow, what a year it's been !!

As 2015 now draws to a close, it's a time for reflection.  For each and every one of us to look back on the past 12 months and see how we've spent our time, and how our own individual stories have unfolded …

How was your year ?  Good ?  Bad ?  Exciting ?  Uneventful ?  Was it perfectly wonderful ?  Or could certain aspects have gone better ? … Whatever the case, don’t forget that it's the BAD times which shape you more than the good.  So remember to embrace your past, no matter how colourful, because it's what's made YOU who you are !

It's certainly been an INTERESTING year for us dolls, to say the least.  We've had ups, downs, tears, and smiles.  Not to mention the introductions of various different additions to our little plastic community too.

But on balance, when you look past the odd hiccups and wrinkles, it's been one hell of an exciting rollercoaster ride.  Particularly for me stepsisters, Marguerite, who's now married.  Jacqueline, who's just recently engaged.  And even young Lucille, who's already having the odd run-in's with our Mother as it happens … Blimey, hey.  But MY family is ANYTHING but dull !

I've made some lovely new friends this past year, and whilst I haven't quite clicked with all the new arrivals, partly because a few have rather QUESTIONABLE motives and morals too … Ahem !!  However, on the whole I'd say it's been a GOOD year for us dolls, and I cant WAIT to discover what fun adventures 2016 will bring as well ?  Not long left to find out though …

So I'll see you all on the other side when 2016 arrives, as I now say a fond farewell and give 2015 the send-off it deserves …  After all, tomorrow, is the first blank page of a brand new 365 page book.  So let's all write a good one !

Season's Greetings From The Rocky Family 2015 !

If you haven't already figured out what I'm trying to say here in several languages - ** MERRY CHRISTMAS ** !! ... In case you're wondering about that last one on the list however, it's actually Klingon from Star Trek, and basically means 'Our Savior's birthday you-enjoy !'.  It was my sister, Danielle, and her sci-fi mad boyfriend, Henry's, idea ... Bless !!

Whether you celebrate this particular festive tradition or not though.  No matter what your personal beliefs, religion, or cultural backgrounds.  THIS is the season of joy, love, peace on earth, and good will to all men, women ... And of course us dolly's too ... So have a good 'un wont you ;).

I would like to take this opportunity to say a quick THANKS to all my fans and followers.  I really appreciate that you've taken the time to keep up with my blog these last 12 months.  We've certainly had an interesting ride together, but I have genuinely loved your support through all the ups and downs none the less ... Lets hope 2016 brings just as many fun new adventures for us all to share too, hey ;).

I hope that you and all your loved ones have a VERY Merry Christmas, a happy, healthy and prosperous New Year, and that the Winter holiday season makes all your dreams come true as well.

Chapter 207 – “Blue Christmas – 22nd December 2015.

'Twas two nights before Christmas, when all through Holly's house. Not a creature was stirring, not a dolly, nor a mouse ...

Ok, so perhaps that vision of peace and tranquillity is somewhat far fetched, being that our entire household was currently in the midst of soaking up the seasons festive offerings right now ... All of us that is, but these three poor lost souls who were having a rather BLUE Christmas by all accounts, and THIS is their tale ... Awwww !

<3 <3 <3 Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary - What a RUSH ! <3 <3 <3

It's amazing to recall that 3 years ago today Rocky and I tied the knot, isn't it ? ... Blimey, the last 36 months have flown by in flash !  Which ironically sorta sums up how my Beloved Hubby and I celebrated the occasion this afternoon as it happens.

We naturally wanted to mark this milestone of ours with something special of course ... Mind you, I'm not sure THIS was quite what I had in mind when my sneaky spouse suggested the idea of us taking a quick spin down memory lane together at twilight !

Eeek, my hair !!

The entire endeavour was somewhat of a thrill-ride to be honest, and certainly an experience seeing the house, all our special memorable places, and the newly added Christmas deccys, whilst whizzing past at break-neck speed on the back of a motorcycle ... Oooh, was that another new tree over there ?  At least, I think it was.  Hmmmm ??  Anyway ... The whole thing was a bit of a blur to tell the truth, but certainly a pretty spectacle I'll give it that.

Mmmmmm, it was rather cosy though, huddling up together on the little seat with my arms wrapped tightly around the man I love.  But I think part of that closeness was due to the fact I was clinging on for dear-life here, and when my cheeky-chappy heard me squeal a touch he decided to go even faster too !! .... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !!

The ride was indeed very scary in some respects, but I did kinda like the buzz of adrenaline it gave me none the less ... Phwoooff, what a RUSH !!

In case you're wondering, yes it is very unusual to see my car-mad fella on a motorbike.  Most especially after the number of playful debates he's had with Ollie in the past, over the virtues of cars over crotch-rockets and whatnot.  However, as much as my teasing husband likes to bait his good friend with all that jokey banter, at the end of the day Rocky loves ANYTHING on wheels.  So this new addition was probably an inevitability in that respect, hey.

I cant really complain though, most especially as I was the one who bought this bike for him ... Yeah I know, WHAT was I thinking there ?  But, he's been HINTING about the idea rather a lot the past few months or so.  Partly because we've had a couple more bikers arrive in our dolly household in recent times, and also I think a LARGE factor was from the fact I'd told him that we cant have ANY more cars.  I mean, there's only the two of us, and yet we have a whole FLEET of cars (6 of 'em to be precise, if I've remembered 'em all).  Rocky agreed it was a sensible decision of course ... But I should've figured he'd find a way around my veto by wanting a bike instead ... Urrrggggh, MEN, hey !

I'm far too soft for my own good though, and seeing how much he REALLY wanted a proper motorcycle of his own I started hunting for something suitable last month ... It's actually a LOT harder than you think to find a bike suited to Rocky's type of doll, seeing as he's not as flexible nor posable as some of the newer Ken and guy dolls ... As luck would have it however, I stumbled across THIS little red beastie, which was supposedly designed for my husband's era of doll.  PERFECT !! ... Damn, no excuse left now, hey.  So I HAD to get it ! ... Groan !!

Aside from my own playful despairing though, as you can probably tell from the look on his face here, Rocky LOVES his joint anniversary and Christmas gift.  Would you believe he was actually surprised when I presented it to him this morning as well ... Bless !!  I cant think WHY he wasn't expecting it after all that unsubtle HINTING though.  Deary me.

As much as I'd love to stay here and chat further, I'd better be going now, so that I can get changed into something a little more appropriate for the rest of our date-night celebrations.  Hopefully my sneaky spouse has a something a little tamer planned for the remainder of our evening together though.  Fingers crossed ... I guess I'll find out soon enough ...

Chapter 206 – “Not Such An Innocent Girl” – 1st December 2015.

Following on from the previous chapter, my well meaning light-hearted shopping spree took a rather INTRIGUING turn during the course of this concluding instalment. Particularly with regards to ONE of my siblings, who was JUST about to go all gooey and weak at the knees over a guy ... Awwww, bless !

Is Lucille REALLY as inexperienced and unprepared for such matters as I'm lead to believe though ? Or will her confusing contrary behaviour around one charming chappy in particular, give rise to even MORE questions on that score ? ... Hmm ?

Events continue to unfold of course, answers start to emerge, and in time even MORE unexpected revelations stir up further dramas. Hitting MUCH closer to home than some of us are prepared for, and by design too. Sheesh, what stirrers some people can be, hey !! ... But in the end, even I start to realise that NONE of us are spotless. We all have pasts, secrets, and agendas to a degree ... And I'm not such an INNOCENT girl myself now that I think about it ! ...
