Chapter 207 – “Blue Christmas – 22nd December 2015.

'Twas two nights before Christmas, when all through Holly's house. Not a creature was stirring, not a dolly, nor a mouse ...

Ok, so perhaps that vision of peace and tranquillity is somewhat far fetched, being that our entire household was currently in the midst of soaking up the seasons festive offerings right now ... All of us that is, but these three poor lost souls who were having a rather BLUE Christmas by all accounts, and THIS is their tale ... Awwww !

<3 <3 <3 Our 3rd Wedding Anniversary - What a RUSH ! <3 <3 <3

It's amazing to recall that 3 years ago today Rocky and I tied the knot, isn't it ? ... Blimey, the last 36 months have flown by in flash !  Which ironically sorta sums up how my Beloved Hubby and I celebrated the occasion this afternoon as it happens.

We naturally wanted to mark this milestone of ours with something special of course ... Mind you, I'm not sure THIS was quite what I had in mind when my sneaky spouse suggested the idea of us taking a quick spin down memory lane together at twilight !

Eeek, my hair !!

The entire endeavour was somewhat of a thrill-ride to be honest, and certainly an experience seeing the house, all our special memorable places, and the newly added Christmas deccys, whilst whizzing past at break-neck speed on the back of a motorcycle ... Oooh, was that another new tree over there ?  At least, I think it was.  Hmmmm ??  Anyway ... The whole thing was a bit of a blur to tell the truth, but certainly a pretty spectacle I'll give it that.

Mmmmmm, it was rather cosy though, huddling up together on the little seat with my arms wrapped tightly around the man I love.  But I think part of that closeness was due to the fact I was clinging on for dear-life here, and when my cheeky-chappy heard me squeal a touch he decided to go even faster too !! .... Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeek !!

The ride was indeed very scary in some respects, but I did kinda like the buzz of adrenaline it gave me none the less ... Phwoooff, what a RUSH !!

In case you're wondering, yes it is very unusual to see my car-mad fella on a motorbike.  Most especially after the number of playful debates he's had with Ollie in the past, over the virtues of cars over crotch-rockets and whatnot.  However, as much as my teasing husband likes to bait his good friend with all that jokey banter, at the end of the day Rocky loves ANYTHING on wheels.  So this new addition was probably an inevitability in that respect, hey.

I cant really complain though, most especially as I was the one who bought this bike for him ... Yeah I know, WHAT was I thinking there ?  But, he's been HINTING about the idea rather a lot the past few months or so.  Partly because we've had a couple more bikers arrive in our dolly household in recent times, and also I think a LARGE factor was from the fact I'd told him that we cant have ANY more cars.  I mean, there's only the two of us, and yet we have a whole FLEET of cars (6 of 'em to be precise, if I've remembered 'em all).  Rocky agreed it was a sensible decision of course ... But I should've figured he'd find a way around my veto by wanting a bike instead ... Urrrggggh, MEN, hey !

I'm far too soft for my own good though, and seeing how much he REALLY wanted a proper motorcycle of his own I started hunting for something suitable last month ... It's actually a LOT harder than you think to find a bike suited to Rocky's type of doll, seeing as he's not as flexible nor posable as some of the newer Ken and guy dolls ... As luck would have it however, I stumbled across THIS little red beastie, which was supposedly designed for my husband's era of doll.  PERFECT !! ... Damn, no excuse left now, hey.  So I HAD to get it ! ... Groan !!

Aside from my own playful despairing though, as you can probably tell from the look on his face here, Rocky LOVES his joint anniversary and Christmas gift.  Would you believe he was actually surprised when I presented it to him this morning as well ... Bless !!  I cant think WHY he wasn't expecting it after all that unsubtle HINTING though.  Deary me.

The things we do for the people we love, hey ?!

As much as I'd love to stay here and chat further, I'd better be going now, so that I can get changed into something a little more appropriate for the rest of our date-night celebrations.  Hopefully my sneaky spouse has a something a little tamer planned for the remainder of our evening together though.  Fingers crossed ... I guess I'll find out soon enough ...

Chapter 206 – “Not Such An Innocent Girl” – 1st December 2015.

Following on from the previous chapter, my well meaning light-hearted shopping spree took a rather INTRIGUING turn during the course of this concluding instalment. Particularly with regards to ONE of my siblings, who was JUST about to go all gooey and weak at the knees over a guy ... Awwww, bless !

Is Lucille REALLY as inexperienced and unprepared for such matters as I'm lead to believe though ? Or will her confusing contrary behaviour around one charming chappy in particular, give rise to even MORE questions on that score ? ... Hmm ?

Events continue to unfold of course, answers start to emerge, and in time even MORE unexpected revelations stir up further dramas. Hitting MUCH closer to home than some of us are prepared for, and by design too. Sheesh, what stirrers some people can be, hey !! ... But in the end, even I start to realise that NONE of us are spotless. We all have pasts, secrets, and agendas to a degree ... And I'm not such an INNOCENT girl myself now that I think about it ! ...

Chapter 205 – “Shopping” – 21st November 2015.

With a jumbled mixture of emotional and awkward family encounters to contend with, not to mention friendly rivals butting heads, and the enforcement of ridiculous rigid rules planting seeds of doubt in the minds of more than one of my siblings ... As I'm sure you can guess, this seemingly simple Saturday-afternoon shopping spree was NOT without its dramas !

Mind you, even the best-laid plans can still go tad awry, despite our well-meaning intentions. And this particular excursion was NO exception there, I tell ya ! ... But some revelations still hit home rather hard none the less, striking a nerve with more than just myself.

Who knew that a bit of retail therapy could be SO dramatic ? ... Deary me, whatever next, hey ? Ironically however, that question is MORE than a little valid too. Considering the intriguing manner in which things were just ABOUT to take a not quite so innocent turn !?  Ooooh-errrr !! ... But I'll save all THAT for the 2nd part of the story ;) ...

Can shopping REALLY provide the answers to any of our problems in this instalment though ? Or in the end, is it actually partly fuelling some of our woes after all ? ... Sheesh, what a thought !

** HAPPY HALLOWEEN EVERYONE ! **

It's THAT time of year again ... The day of goblins, ghouls, ghostie's, and things that go BUMP in the night too !! Plus let's not forget that it's also a chance for us all to dress up out of character and enjoy a little SPOOKY fun and games whilst we celebrate 'All Hallows’ Eve' ... Hoo-hoo ha-haaaa !!

As usual our whole family has gotten into the spirit of things, and this year we've all decided to dress in a matching theme as well ... So Ruby, Emma, and I all donned witch costumes (mines the wicked witch of the West from Oz by the way, but Emmy keeps insisting that I look like I'm from on of the Harry Potter stories. Never mind though, hey. So anyway ...), whilst Rocky has dressed himself as the evil sorcerer, Jafar, from Aladdin !

I must admit that I could NOT stop laughing at his FAKE beard, moustache, and evil eyebrows when he first appeared after getting ready. He just looks so dramatically over the top, hey. But I guess that's my handsome hubby to a 'T' ! ... I hope he's not expecting me to kiss him with all that 'whatever-it-is' over his face though ? ... Eeeek, now that IS a scary thought !!

But as much as I'd love to chat further now, I suppose I had better get going, because the girl's are dying to start the 'Trick or Treating' rounds it seems. Somehow I think the lure of all that candy is far too enticing for the little cutie's ... Mind you, their father is JUST as bad in that respect, and he's insisting that we need our own bag to collect sweets and treats for us as well ! Deary me, what is he like, hey ? ... But I guess it's better than him eating all the girls candy's though, so who am I to argue with that ?

I hope you all have fun yourselves this evening, and of course remember to stay safe as well ! So I suppose all that's left to do now is wish you all a spooktacular night ! ...

Chapter 204 – “Rockstar” – 27th October 2015.

As one of the lucky select few invited, I certainly THOUGHT I was in for an exciting TREAT this afternoon, having been offered a RARE sneaky-peek at our in-house rock-band, 'The Dolly-Mixtures', in action. Whilst they rehearse for a VERY important up-coming gig as it happens !

Will the fun and games of such a Rockstar lifestyle REALLY turn out to be all it's cracked-up though ? Or does the TRUTH not only reveal the extreme effort involved in being a musician, with all the nit-picking, technical difficulties, and constant repetitive refining of the act. But also the swooning, ego-clashes, jealousies, diva-dramas, one-upmanship, and historic feuds which ALSO seem to surface just from an audience perspective during this ONE jamming session alone ... Blimey !!

Will the up's and down of this rollercoaster ride actually take us where we're expecting though ? ... Or will it seemingly tell an altogether DIFFERENT story to the one we're all led to believe ?

Do we all REALLY wanna be Rockstars after all ? ... Following today's events, I'm certainly starting to wonder myself ...

'Feeling VERY under the weather !' :(

Apparently with the arrival of the autumn and winter months we're also treated to the start of the season of coughs, colds and runny noses too ... Great, what a treat for us all, hey ?! ... Perhaps NOT though.

I was HOPING to have had another chapter update of my adventures for you all by now.  Sadly however, I've been suffering with a nasty cold this last week, and as yet haven't really managed to do much except lay on the sofa and feel sorry for myself ... Sniffle-sniff.

Thankfully my lovely Rocky has been going all out to make me feel more comfortable though, and even Ruby & Emma have been doing there part too, which is so sweet.  They helped Daddy to make some tomato soup for me this evening which was incredibly adorable ... Awww.

But anyway, as much as I complain about my sufferings and whatnot, in actual fact I am feeling a touch stronger this evening, which is why I've managed to come online for a bit now :).  I still have a little way to go before I'm back to normal again of course, but I HOPE I'm now over the worst ... Fingers crossed.

With any luck I'll be fighting fit and will see you all again in no time at all.  But as much as I'd like to chat more now, I'm feeling a little muzzy in the head again as it happens, so I think it may be time for another lie down ... Zzzzzzzz.
